Μοναχοί με παραδοσιακά όργανα καλούν τον Σίβα να κατέβει απο την κατοικία του στα Ιμαλάια με τη μορφή Nataraja (του υπέρτατου χορε υτή) για να ταρακουνήσει το κόσμο και πάνω στην άγνοια(το εγώ) να χορέψει την Tandava και με τα 4 χέρια του να καταστρέψει (φωτιά), να ξαναδημιουργήσει(τύμπανο), να προστατεύσει (από το κακό και την άγνοια -dharma)) και να διδάξει την ανύψωση και απελευθέρωση (όχι την δυτική όπως την εννοούμε εμείς, αλλά την εσωτερική).
Traditional instruments call Shiva to climb down from his residence on Himalayas in the form of Nataraja (Lord of Dance) to shake the universe and over ignorance (ego) to dance Tandava and with his four hands to dissolve (fire), ti recreate(drum) to protect (from evil and ignorance -dharma) and teach the upliftment and (insight)liberation.
